China Daily reported the celebration of the second anniversary of the Confucius Classroom at Dominica State College, the original text reads as follows:


A celebration to mark the second anniversary of the establishment of the Confucius Classroom at the Dominican National University of Xidian University was held on May 23 in Dominica.

Sylvanie Burton, president of Dominica; Chu Maoming, Chinese ambassador to Dominica; Fenella Wenham Sheppard, parliamentary secretary in the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training and National Excellence; and Trudy Christian, president of Dominica State College, attended the event.

Zhao Lingshan, vice chairman and secretary general of the China International Chinese Education Foundation, and Zhang Xinliang, president of Xidian University, attended the celebration via video.

Chu Maoming warmly congratulated the Confucius Classroom on its second anniversary, stating that since its establishment, the Confucius Classroom has pioneered and actively carried out Chinese language teaching, effectively promoting Chinese culture and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Fenella Wenham Sheppard introduced the Dominic Education Sustainable Development Strategy in her speech and highly appreciated the positive contributions made by the Confucius Classroom over the past two years to enhance cultural exchange in education and to enrich the content of multiple educational fields.

Christian stated that the Confucius Classroom has been operating for two years, providing a platform for local students and the public to learn Chinese and understand Chinese culture, and has so far been loved and supported by Chinese enthusiasts and learners.
