教师简介（中英文）：曾敬涵，英国兰卡斯特大学教授，行政职务包括兰卡斯特大学孔子学院外方院长，兰卡斯特大学国际合作主管（中国），兰卡斯特大学一带一路研究院院长。主要研究领域为政治和国际关系，出版中英文个人专著三本。在国际顶尖政治和国际关系学术期刊发表SSCI论文25篇。2021年及2022年均入选斯坦福大学全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单。

Jinghan Zeng is Professor of China and International Studies at Lancaster University. He is also Academic Director of China Engagement and Director of Lancaster University Confucius Institute. He plays a key role in supporting the development and implementation of the University’s China strategy. Professor Zeng’s research lies in the field of politics and international relations with a focus on China. He has published three books and 24 SSCI articles in leading journals of politics, international relations and area studies. He is named in the World's Top 2% Scientists list by Stanford University and Elsevier in 2021 and 2022.

课程简介（中英文）：本课程旨在介绍主要的定性研究方法，培养本科生的学术研究意识，提高学术研究能力，将借鉴专家老师在英国大学的教授模式和经验，帮助学生掌握人文社科中定性研究的研究方法，包括访谈、聚焦小组、亲身参与、内容分析、论述分析、比较定性等，并将相关方法用于学术研究和课题设计之中, 为撰写学术论文和各类研究报告等研究打下必备的科研基础。

This course aims to set the foundation for undergraduates to conduct research by improving students' academic research capability. It will be integrated with the teaching model that the professor has applied in the British university setting. It will help students master key qualitative research methods in social sciences, including interviews, focus groups, participant observation, content analysis, discourse analysis, comparative qualitative analysis etc., and use relevant methods in their academic research and project design.
