On behalf of the school, he thanked Hubei Radio and Television Station for its professional support and full cooperation for the documentary "The Land of Silk". He said that "The Land of Silk" is a literary and artistic work in which Wuhan Textile University and Hubei Radio and Television Station have worked together with one heart and sincere cooperation, and it is also an important practice for the school to vigorously promote the inheritance and innovation of textile culture. The school has been deeply engaged in textile science and technology, innovating textile education, and regards textile culture as a bridge connecting history and the future, exploring the infinite possibilities of textile civilization with a global perspective. In major national missions such as Chang'e-5, Chang'e-6 and Tianwen-1, the school has overcome a number of "bottleneck" technologies and made positive contributions to Hubei's role and Textile University's responsibilities in the process of Chinese-style modernization. He believed that the documentary 'The Land of Silk' is a well-made, high-level documentary reflecting textile culture, and it is also an innovative attempt of school-enterprise cooperation. He looked forward to deeper and more sufficient cooperation and exchanges with Wuhan Textile University and the School of Media in teaching and practice, teaching creativity and curriculum innovation, and resource sharing between both sides in the future, to launch more high-quality cooperative projects, and jointly tell good stories of textile culture and Hubei.

"The Land of Silk" is divided into two episodes, each 30 minutes long, and is the opening work of the documentary series "Weaving China". The documentary takes the stories of "silk and people" and "silk and silk" as the main storyline. The first episode, "Mutual Learning", sorts out the development history of China's silk weaving technology, focuses on the achievements in the fields of silk weaving, embroidery, dyeing and finishing, art, etc., and tells how silk skillfully combines history with modernity, and the integration of culture and technology, and how it empowers people's beautiful life. The second episode, "Renewal", tracks the application of silk, known as the "queen of natural fibers", as a new scientific and technological material in the fields of medical health and aerospace, showing the exploration style and craftsman spirit of scholars, experts, technicians and students striving in the field of textile scientific research, highlighting the cultural charm and technological confidence of Chinese textile civilization. With silk as the main storyline, through wonderful image stories, using documentary shooting, ancient method restoration, scene reproduction and other means, the documentary fully displays the history, culture, economy, science and technology of Chinese textiles and its profound influence on the process of human civilization. Through a wonderful dialogue that crosses ancient and modern times and spans East and West, it makes distant history interesting and gives a temperature to high-level academia. More than forty teachers and students from the School of Media completed a number of derivative short videos and creative texts of documentaries during the shooting process, reaping a lot of gains and benefiting a great deal.
