On the afternoon of May 22nd, the faculty and staff meeting of the School of Information Management was held in the 212 lecture hall. All members of the leadership team attended the meeting. Jun Tao, CPC Secretary of the SIM, presided over the meeting.

Xiaoguang Wang, Dean of the SIM, briefed on the recent development of the school's undertakings. He introduced the important meetings, major activities, major scientific research projects, and main honors obtained by the school recently, demonstrating the achievements made by the school in related fields. He pointed out that in the next stage, the school will closely focus on the major breakthrough directions of discipline development, be committed to cultivating urgently needed strategic talents, producing high-level scientific research achievements, building interdisciplinary innovation teams, and continuously improving international impact, so as to lay a solid foundation for the long-term development of the school.

Xiaoguang Wang also analyzed the employment implementation of the 2025 graduates of the school, and proposed to make concerted efforts, take multiple measures, provide precise assistance, and strengthen guidance to help graduates obtain employment. In addition, he also informed the ten key practical matters that the school will focus on promoting in 2025.

Associate Dean Ping Wang, introduced the quality improvement plan for doctoral students. He pointed out that the school will start from multiple dimensions such as the quality of students, selection of supervisors, curriculum system, and internationalized training to comprehensively improve the training quality of doctoral students. Through a series of measures such as optimizing the supervisor appointment system, improving the excellent student source reward mechanism, and strengthening the internationalized training efforts, solid guarantees will be provided for the academic growth and development of doctoral students, further promoting the improvement of the school's scientific research level and the expansion of academic impact.

CPC Deputy Secretary Qian Dai circulated typical cases in related fields such as scientific research funds, enrollment and examination, teacher ethics, theme education, and secrecy. She pointed out that these cases serve as a warning to us, and all faculty and staff should take them as a lesson, stick to the bottom line of discipline, be honest and self-disciplined, firm up the ideal and belief of being loyal to the education cause of the CPC and the people, strengthen self-restraint and self-standardization, and jointly maintain the good image and reputation of our school and Wuhan University.
In the meeting summary, Jun Tao fully affirmed the current development trend of the school. He pointed out that the school has targeted efforts in talent training, academic research, cooperation and exchange, environmental culture, and other aspects, and has achieved remarkable results. These achievements are inseparable from the hard work of the whole school. The school is currently standing at a new development starting point, where opportunities and challenges coexist. Jun Tao called on all faculty and staff to devote to various undertakings of the school with fuller enthusiasm and more solid work, take the development of the school as their own responsibility, further strengthen responsibility, continue to strengthen learning, stick to the bottom line of discipline, focus on core tasks, and contribute to the construction and development of the school with actions.
