Recently, the Wuhan University organized the 2025 Self-improvement Star selection. After processes including school recommendation, qualification review, evaluation by faculty and student representatives, and on-site defense, Hongyi Li, a 2021-grade undergraduate student of our school, was awarded the honorary title of Self-improvement Star, and Lingyan Zhou, a 2022-grade undergraduate student, received the 2025 Self-improvement Star Nomination.


Hongyi Li was admitted to Wuhan University through the Self-improvement Program in 2021. He has excellent academic performance and rich experience in scientific innovation, winning multiple honors such as the Tsang Hin Chi Scholarship. He worked part-time to support his studies, facing difficulties with optimism and perseverance. When encountering emergencies, he bravely rescued a drowning classmate, spontaneously organized public welfare activities, actively engaged in student work, and interpreted the responsibility and mission of contemporary youth with actions.
