2025-06-16 09:24:33

Recently, the Wuhan University AI-Enabled Typical Application Scenarios Case Competition in Higher Education came to an end. The participating teams from our School performed outstandingly, winning 2 Grand Prizes, and 1 First Prize and 1 Second Prize each, fully demonstrating our School's strength in the field of integrating AI with education.

In the Grand Prize cases, the Cultural Heritage Digital Performance Theater built by Professor Xiaoguang Wang’s team constructs an interdisciplinary innovative teaching system. Through five technical modules - digital incubation, virtual-real integration, collaborative performance, immersive experience, and intelligent service - the project has created the first domestic immersive teaching platform for cultural heritage. This live-action case has cumulatively served 16,000 student visits.

Another Grand Prize case is the project Embodied Cognition and Experiential Measurement Digital and Intelligent Experimental Space Empowering the Cultivation of New-Type Information Management Talents by Professor Tingting Jiang's team. Relying on the Ministry of Education's Laboratory for Philosophy and Social Sciences, this case has built an internationally leading digital and intelligent platform. It innovatively applies multimodal biosensing technology to teaching scenarios, has cultivated more than 200 interdisciplinary talents, and its embedded emotional computing system reaches international leading level.

The case Creating a Human-AI Interactive Learning Experience in the User Experience Design Course by Professor Yang Zhao's team won the First Prize. This case deeply implements the education digitalization strategy, constructs a "human-AI symbiosis" interactive learning system, and creates a teaching paradigm for user experience design through collaboration between humans and AI.

The case Cipherbot Inspires the Future: A New Paradigm of Intelligent Q&A for Course Learning by Professor Lu An's team won the Second Prize. This case uses the Cipherbot teaching large language model to provide students with 24-hour heuristic intelligent Q&A, helping them consolidate course knowledge, identify and fill gaps, and flexibly apply the core concepts, important theories, and methods from the courses in scientific research and practice.

The achievement of these excellent results in the competition demonstrates the capabilities of the teachers and their teams. It is also a vivid reflection of the School's education philosophy, innovative spirit, and practices in the field of "AI + higher education". It inspires all faculty and students to further explore the use of AI to promote changes in learning, teaching, and governance in higher education, and help the School embark on a new journey of development.
