报告人简介：

Mark Lautens obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the supervision of Prof. B. M. Trost in 1985, he then conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard University with Prof. D. A. Evans. He started his independent career at the University of Toronto in 1987 and was promoted to Full Professor in 1995. Since 2012, he has been a University Professor at the University of Toronto. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Toronto, the Editor-in-Chief of Synthesis, and Advisory Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has received many awards and honors, including Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award (2006), Pedler Award (2011), Officer of the Order of Canada (2014), CIC Catalysis Award (2016), H. C. Brown Award (2020). His research is focused on the development of novel transition-metal-catalyzed reactions and their applications in the fields of natural product synthesis and medicinal chemistry.
