Introduction: Dr. Francesca Giampieri is anAssociate Professor at Univesidad Europea del Atlántico in Spain and Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic University of Marche in Italy. He graduated with a PhD in Biological Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine at Marche Polytechnic University in Italy. In 2013, he obtained a doctoral degree in "Food, Health, and Medicine" from the Clinical Science Department of the Faculty of Medicine at Markey University of Technology. Dr. Francesca Giampieri was selected as a Global High Impact Scientist by Clarivate Analytics for five consecutive years from 2019 to 2023. He has extensive research experience in the field of food nutrition, including evaluating the effects of dietary active compounds on human health, particularly in the biological intervention mechanisms related to oxidative stress and inflammation. He has published over 240 papers in international journals, including 13 highly cited papers with h-index of 58 (Scopus), 51 (WoS), and 68 (Google Scholar). Dr. Francesca Giampieri is currently serving as the coeditor in chief of Food Safety and Health magazine and as the head of Food Chemistry, Associate Editor of Nutrients, Journal of Berry Research, Mediterranean Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism, Food Frontiers, Discover Food, and other journals. He is also an editorial board member of International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Antioxidants, Molecules, Food Chemistry, Molecular Sciences, and other journals.
