On the morning of April 21st, the preliminary round of the National College English Competition (Jiangsu University competition point), hosted by the Teaching Affairs Department and organized by the School of Foreign Languages, was successfully held at Sanshan Building.
In order to regulate the order of the examination rooms and strictly enforce the examination atmosphere and discipline, Ju Xiaoli, director of the Subject Competition Guidance Center of the School of Foreign Languages, organized an examination training meeting before the competition, providing examination work training for examination personnel and invigilators, and explaining in detail the examination work process and requirements. During the examination process, invigilators conscientiously fulfilled their duties, strictly enforced the discipline of the examination rooms, verified the identity information of candidates, and cleaned up the items unrelated to the examination. Vice Dean Li Jiajun and other examination staff conducted a examination patrol .
In the afternoon, the Subject Competition Guidance Center organized the teachers to review the papers. Before grading, Director Ju made detailed arrangements for the grading work, emphasizing the grading requirements and discipline. The grading teachers adopted a flow grading mode,strictly following the grading standards, and fairly and justly evaluating each test paper. After the grading, Director Ji Yan of the Center organized a check of the grading.
According to the competition rules, a total of 16 first prizes in categories A, B, and C have been selected. The winning contestants will continue to participate in the finals of the Jiangsu province. The School of Foreign Languages has openly selected guiding teachers from College English Departments , combining the advantages of team guidance with the flexibility of one-on-one guidance, and organizing teachers to provide effective guidance to first prize winners, striving to achieve excellent results among universities in Jiangsu Province.
The National English Competition for College Students (NECCS) is a comprehensive English proficiency competition for college students jointly organized by the Higher Education Foreign Language Teaching Research Association and the National Higher Normal University Foreign Language Teaching and Research Cooperation Group. This competition has been included in the national B-level competition of our university and is open to undergraduate and graduate students. The School of Foreign Languages attaches great importance to subject competitions, aiming to promote learning, practice, and application through competitions, and to assist college students in developing their comprehensive ability of application , international communication and innovation.
