以数据库技术、地理信息系统技术（GIS）等为代表的环境信息技术为环境规划与管理服务的有力工具。本设计实践课，通过课题讲授和大量的上机实践，让同学学习和掌握上述环境信息技术及相关专业软件的使用。本实践课程将着重就下面内容进行讲授和实践：数据库设计与实现、GIS基本操作、空间分析和三维空间分析。在此基础上讲授GIS的前沿主流技术和进展，对遥感和GPS的原理进行概要介绍。通过本课程，同学应掌握如何将数据库技术、地理信息系统筹环境信息技术应用于环境规划与管理中，并掌握专用环境信息系统的设计和实现。

The growing information techniques such as Database and GIS have been widely used in many fields, including environmental protection field. In order to assist the students mastering Database and GIS techniques, lectures and a lot of exercises are implemented in this course based on the reviews of the application of information techniques in environmental science. The main contents include Database system design and development, GIS fundamental, Spatial analysis, 3D modelling. After finishing the course, the students should be able to build an environmental Database and develop a GIS system in the environmental field.
