Jie Shang Was Awarded the Title of National Excellent Cadre of Communist Youth League

　　Recently, Jie Shang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of College of Management and Economics (CoME) of Tianjin University, was awarded the title of National Excellent Cadre of Communist Youth League.

　　Jie Shang, member of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of CoME, National Second-Level Psychological Counselor, and Global Career Development Facilitator. She has won nearly 50 honors such as the National Summer Social Practice Model. Besides, she is guest of the 31st episode of the column "I am a counselor" of China Education Television.

　　Shang has served as a counselor for class 2009, 2014 and 2015 undergraduates. With the promise of "on-call 24 hours", she accompanied the students firmly and became Pokonyan who can solve anything in the minds of students. In the struggle to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, she actively devoted herself to the epidemic war, collecting the information of 5229 students from CoME every day, and pay special attention to the students in Hubei and abroad to ensure timely feedback. She assisted in the development of online courses, helped students solve problems in the courses and provided timely feedback on course conditions.

　　In the complex systematic project of talent training, the cadres of the Communist Youth League must continuously improve their abilities, continuously extend and deepen their work, and play a greater role in educating people. Shang insists on studying and strives to improve her working ability. Through learning and training, she has obtained the qualifications of National Second-Level Psychological Counselor and Global Career Development Facilitator. She has participated in national cadre training and national university counselor training class for many times.

　　CoME has the characteristics of multiple disciplines and diversified development for student. Shang assists CoME to focus on the problems and sets out from the needs of young students to build a four-dimensional tutor system. The four-dimensional tutors of counselors, professional mentors, industry mentors and peer mentors provide comprehensive guidance from ideological and political education, professional awareness, career planning, peer counseling and other aspects. Since the implementation of the system, Shang has actively coordinated various resources, optimized the work process, and achieved remarkable results in educating people.

　　" No practice, no gain in one's wit". Shang insists on the combination of theoretical and practical education, innovating practice form, guiding young students to enhance the ability in practice. She has guided the practice team to take root in Fengyu ancient town of Yunnan province for six consecutive years since 2014, filling the gap in rural education, creating characteristic courses, contacting alumni and applying for public welfare venture capital fund, donating 2.4 million yuan to build "love house" and "dream classroom", and helping more than 300 left-behind children. In 2016, the proportion of the first batch of supported students admitted to key high schools increased by 120 percent. China Youth Daily has reported on this project for four consecutive years, and the practical experience has been replicated and promoted in many places such as Jizhou district of Tianjin city and Shengzhou city of Zhejiang province. The practice team has won many national awards.
