Wang Aiying is an Associate Professor of Architecture Technology, and Master Supervisor at the School of Architecture, Tianjin University. Her main research field is Architecture lighting including artificial lighting and daylighting. She teaches ‘lighting technology and art’ to master’s students. Her main focus for the past decade has been on architecture daylighting research including light pipe, daylighting climate and daylighting in traditional Chinese buildings. Her recent research has extended to the relationship between lighting and human beings and plants.
Wang Aiying completed her post-doctoral research at the School of Architecture, Tianjin University. She was visiting scholar at the University of Kansas (USA) from 2010-2013 where she worked with the professor in the lighting center of Kansas University. She has been an Associate Professor at Tianjin University from the year 2002 to date.
