Liu Kuixing is an associate professor, deputy director of the Institute of Building Technology Science, School of Architecture, Tianjin University, and a postgraduate supervisor. He is a member of the International Society for Building Performance Simulation, a member of the Computer Simulation Committee of the Chinese HVAC Society, a member of the Building Adaptation and Operation and Maintenance Committee of the China Building Energy Conservation Association, and a member of the Youth Committee of the Green Building Committee of the China Urban Science Association. He has presided over a number of projects under the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Research and Development Program, and has published thirty papers as the first author or corresponding author.
His main research interests are urban physical environment and intelligent building operation and maintenance. In the field of urban physical environment, he is mainly engaged in the research on the relationship between physical environment creation and urban design, and has published many high level articles including ESI high citation. In the direction of intelligent building operation and maintenance, as of July 2021, he has been in charge of intelligent operation and maintenance of several public buildings for 33 months, independently developed various IoT sensors, built an intelligent operation and maintenance data platform with an actual annual storage volume of 1 billion data, and developed various intelligent algorithms such as temperature prediction and policy recognition.
