Liao Zhengxin: National Flag-bearer at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Ms Liao Zhengxin, an alumnus of the School of Architecture of Tianjin University, had the honor of participating in the passing of our national flag at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics. She is the director of Institute of Historical and Cultural City Planning, Beijing Institute of Urban Planning and design, and has been awarded "National Advanced Worker" in 2022.

Ms Liao Zhengxin enrolled in the School of Architecture at Tianjin University in 1992, majored in Urban Planning and Design and graduated in 2000. Later, she joined the Beijing Institute of Urban Planning and Design and has worked there since.

She has been on the front line of the field for over 20 years, seeking truth from the facts, upholding the spirit of innovation, advancing professional knowledge and promoting education in her profession.

"Being selected to represent the industry of planning and natural resources and participate in the flag passing session of the opening ceremony, I feel extremely excited, honored, and inspired!”, Liao Zhengxin said.
