According to the epidemic situation in Tianjin and after receiving instruction from the University Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control, below is the current notice for campus epidemic prevention and control:
I. Nucleic Acid Test
According to the requirements of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Jinnan District, Nucleic Acid Test will be carried out for all the faculty passing through the Preventive Area (Yellow Area) since 0:00 (inclusive) on January 8. Among them, the faculty who are still in Peiyangyuan Campus should take Nucleic Acid Test on campus at 18:00 on January 8 (today) (the specific time and place of testing will be notified by Office of the president). The rest must take the Ncleic Acid Test nearby in order to enter the Peiyangyuan campus.
At present, the enclosed area of Haihe River, Waihuan South Road, Jingang Expressway, Tangjin Expressway, Shuangqiaohe Road in Jinnan District (except the closed area and the controlled area) is designated as the Preventive Area (as indicated in yellow in the map).
II. Health Code Check
All units (schools, departments, and offices) are required to immediately check the Tianjin health code and epidemic-related situation of each of their faculty and staff members. In the case of any of the situations indicated below, the individual is not allowed to enter the campus. Their entry code will be suspended immediately. Their unit shall remind them to update the information (including quarantine information) in the epidemic census form in a timely fashion and direct them to regularly report to the community residents' committee and the school.
The situations include:
1. If the individual or their co-residents have received notice to self-quarantine, they may not enter the campus.
2. If the individual or their co-residents do not possess a green health code in Tianjin, they may not enter the campus.
3. For those who have received notice to take a nucleic acid test, please do not enter the campus before obtaining a negative test result.
III. Daily Health Screening
All units are requested to immediately check the health status of all faculty and staff members. Faculty and staff with COVID-19-related symptoms, such as fever, dry cough, fatigue, loss of smell and taste, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, conjunctivitis, myalgia and diarrhea, are not allowed to enter the university, and their entry codes shall be suspended immediately by their units. Teachers and staff will be prompted to update relevant information concerning "current physical condition" in the epidemic census form in a timely fashion.
IV. Entrance Code Will be Reset Regularly.
Starting from January 9, the entrance code will be reset every other day at 19:00 (e.g. 19:00 on Jan 9, Jan 11, Jan 13 and so on). Please remind faculty and staff to apply for their entrance permit through the TJU service app.
Each School shall manage the entrance permits of its faculty and staff members, dividing them into groups of 50. The administrative office of each School can select individuals to in charge of entrance permits approvement (App – School Administration “本部门管理“ – The last page of ”Role“”角色“).
Every School should strengthen its organization and training, quickly establish a team to handle these tasks, and accurately handle the responsibility of examination for everyone in their sector.
V. Compulsory Mask Wearing
Faculty and staff should wear masks as required. Masks must be worn at meetings. Faculty are not required to wear masks while teaching. Faculty and staff (during non-teaching times) and staff from property management, cleaning, canteens and other areas must wear masks.
VI. Visitors Will Not be Allowed to Enter Campus.
From today, visitors cannot enter the university campus. The application function for visitors from the comprehensive service platform for admission is closed, and its reinstatement will be addressed at a later date.
VII. Strict Data Feedback Requirements
All units are requested to report personnel information promptly and accurately in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Faculty and Staff of Tianjin University During Epidemic Prevention and Control, and no concealment, misreporting or omission will be tolerated. If there is any violation, the school will deal with it seriously.
