CoME held a seminar on the promotion of undergraduate education and teaching review and evaluation, as well as undergraduate education and teaching

On May 22nd, the College of Management and Economics (hereafter called CoME) held a seminar on the promotion of undergraduate education and teaching review and evaluation, as well as undergraduate education and teaching, at Room B527 of Building 25. The seminar was chaired by the head of CoME, Du Hui-bin, with the attendance of relevant leaders in undergraduate education and student affairs from the college. The seminar was organized by the vice dean in charge of undergraduate education, Zheng Chun-dong, who arranged and explained the relevant work. Attendees included department directors, personnel from the undergraduate education office, student affairs and career development center, information and experimental teaching center, as well as faculty members and department secretaries, who participated in discussions on relevant topics.


During the seminar, arrangements for the review and evaluation of undergraduate education and teaching in the college were first discussed.

Du Hui-bin emphasized that the review and evaluation of undergraduate education and teaching are one of the key tasks for this year, and it is imperative to attach great importance to it and fully understand its significance. Department directors should mobilize all faculty and students, with active cooperation from various functional departments, to ensure that each stage of the work is completed on time and with quality. This evaluation work should serve as an opportunity to further enhance the quality of talent cultivation in the college.

Zheng Chundong, in conjunction with the promotional materials and key points for evaluation and construction issued by the university, specifically explained the timelines and processes for review and evaluation tasks. He also outlined the specific requirements for faculty and students in the college's self-assessment and self-construction, as well as related work plans, arrangements for self-examination of teaching materials, graduation theses, and other relevant materials. He also emphasized issues such as strict classroom teaching discipline and the importance of meeting end-of-course examination requirements, based on problems found during mid-term teaching inspections.


Undergraduate administrators Li Lin and Dong Qi supplemented specific post-meeting notifications and requirements for self-examination.


Following the arrangement of the undergraduate education and teaching evaluation in the college, the attending teachers engaged in thorough discussions and exchanges regarding the specific requirements of the evaluation, the proposed management methods for the education and teaching nurturing and support plan to be introduced by the college, as well as the undergraduate program construction plan.

It is reported that the college has developed a detailed work plan for the undergraduate education and teaching review and evaluation, specifying the overall requirements, organizational structure, implementation mechanism, specific division of work and time frames for the evaluation work. It also delineated the responsible individuals and departments for each task to ensure the smooth completion of the review and evaluation. Currently, the college has initiated various related tasks for the review and evaluation, including the organization of institutional documents, self-examination of teaching materials, preliminary determination of inspection routes, and editing of presentation slides.


To consolidate excellent teaching and course resources, cultivate outstanding grassroots teaching organizations and teaching teams, and establish an organized teaching model, CoME plans to introduce management methods for the education and teaching nurturing and support plan. This initiative aims to conduct organizational work for professional construction and educational reform research from the top-level design of the college, ensuring the effectiveness of educational support and forming a long-term support mechanism for educational reform.
