On the afternoon of January 6, 2025, Professor Yue Zhongqi from Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) and Li Aiguo, a master of engineering survey and design from Guangdong Province, visited our institute for exchange. Academician Chen Xiangsheng, Dean of the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering and the Future Underground City Research Institute at Shenzhen University, met with guests and presided over the meeting. Professor Su Dong, Vice Dean of the Research Institute, and related professional teachers and postdoctoral fellows attended the meeting on site. The exchange meeting was held in Room 1007, Zhili Building, Yuehai Campus (South District).

Professor Yue Zhongqi first introduced the basic situation of the visiting team members and gave an academic report entitled "Innovative Efforts in Modern Underground Space Development and Geological Disaster Prevention".

The report is divided into four parts: underground space, landslide prevention and control, geotechnical measurement, and deformation and failure research. It explores the calculation and prediction of boundary element method, the mechanism and prevention of rock burst formation, the DPM geotechnical strength of different drilling rigs, and the consolidation and deposition of soft soil. It also analyzes the case of collapse landslides caused by cross basin water diversion of highways. We look forward to strengthening talent exchanges between both sides in the future, brainstorming to overcome technological challenges, and promoting innovative development of technologies and methods in related fields.

Academician Chen Xiangsheng warmly welcomes and sincerely thanks Professor Yue Zhongqi and his delegation for their visit. He hopes to take this exchange as an opportunity to continuously explore cooperation points, promote substantive interaction between each other in deeper and wider fields, fully leverage collaborative advantages, enhance scientific research and innovation capabilities, and seek new development together.

At the meeting, the attendees had in-depth discussions and exchanges with Professor Yue Zhongqi on technical issues such as slope stability analysis, material deformation and settlement calculation prediction, and accurate measurement of soil particle composition through washing and screening methods.
