Abstract:
The Tang Dynasty depended on its advantages over Tujue to realize the object of govern northeastern China. The rebellion of surrendered Turks caused the turmoil of political situation in northeastern China and created an opportunity for the growth and expansion of Tujue, which finally resulted in the Rise of Later Tujue which once dominated all northeastern peoples. The rejuvenation of Later Tujue led directly or indirectly of turning the state of You a major military town and the founding of Government and High Command Barracks of Pinglu. In this connection, the Sui Dynasty and the early Tang Dynasty was a historical period in which the two dynasties competed with the regimes of nomadic peoples for government of northeastern China. Although the competition ended in Tujue’s defeat, the Tang Dynasty and Tujue were both leading forces in this area. Under such situations, whether to attach the Tang Dynasty was a determinative external element.
