Abstract:
Since the reform and opendoor policy, the Communist Party of China has held three national conferences of employment in its effort of dealing with serious urban unemployment shock caused respectively by the educated young people’s return to cities and employees of staterun enterprises being laid off. These three conferences offered theoretical guides to the governance of urban unemployment under the current circumstances and meanwhile helped accumulate historical experience for the Party to cope with urban unemployment in leading the nation in national construction, which is of important value to understanding and solving the current problem of urban unemployment.
