Abstract:
The historical phase between the 12th and 15th centuries marked an important historical period of development of British agriculture. One of the leading changes in agricultural relationship was that farmers as producers gradually got rid of personal bondage and obtained the right of controlling personal labour, which laid a foundation for them to become betteroff. The specific representation of this process was establishing cashrent in agricultural productive relation. According to various historical materials, including manor records, royal decrees and currency policies, repeated struggles happened between lords and peasants around land profits and personal liberation in the historical evolution, which exercised certain influence on current British society.
