Abstract:
A history of psychology is both a “reality” and is characteristic of “social construct”. In history of psychology, behaviourism and cognitive psychology were not really incompatible to each other but complexly related by overlapping each other. The two schools shared the scientific view and methodology and differed only in focus of concern. Therefore, a multiple psychological view should be a better choice to neutralize the current crisis of separation. This is because the integration of psychology is an integration of multiple coexistence with certain tension among multielements. The certain tension will help promote a mild competition between different orientations of psychological study to create a favorable climate for healthy development of psychology.
