Abstract:
The development of Du Pu poetics in the Song Dynasty was quite changeable and extraordinarily complicated. A horizontal view of this history of development reveals three active elements, namely, dissemination of collections of Du Pu’s poems, cultural transformation between the Tang and the Song Dynasty, and evolutionary development of poetics itself. These three elements were interactive and mutually dependent, forming a threedimension horizontal family tree of Du Pu poetics in the Song Dynasty. It was the interaction of document dissemination, cultural transformation and literary evolution that helped promote the prosperity of Du Pu poetics in the dynasty.
