Abstract:
In current situation, quality of journals subjectively depends largely on the editor’s choice and work in the following ways: whether the journal is to be taken as an instrument to make money or as a field to prosper academics, whether to lose oneself by following the current system of periodical assessment or to take the road of running the journal autonomously, and whether to regard the assessment system set by the superior administrative branches as the standards of running a journal or to observe the principle of running journals by taking the academic demand of broad audience as the standards of running a journal. Actually, the final standards of journal assessment are objective, which is held in the hand of broad audience. To improve quality of academic journals and highlight the noble style of academic journals, the principle of running journals should strictly observed by taking the academic demand of broad audience as the most important and only standard of running journals. This is the only way to fulfill the primary purpose of prospering academic journals.
