Abstract:
An elegant collection of noble scholars in Kuaiji, Elegant Collection of Lanxi differed prominently from past scholastic salons in its distinct noble character. The collection wholesomely reproduced the state of life, aesthetic taste, philosophic contemplation and political worry on the part of the current nobles in the imperial years of Yonghe, especially those noble scholars of powerful families who had migrated to Kuaiji from the North.
