Abstract:
Zhang Zai, who established the school of QI in the Confucianist trend in the Ming Dynasty, deeply influenced the study of QI in the day. Luo Qinshun, Wang Tingxiang and Wu Tinghan, famous masters of study of QI, succeeded and drew on Zhang's study of QI and advanced his idea even further. Their revision and innovation of Confucianism in the Song and the Ming Dynasty represented the current mainstream idea and reflected to a certain degree the tendency of growth of Confucianism in the day. By establishing the School of Guanzhong, Zhang Zai promoted the foundation and completion of the system of Confucianism and contributed greatly to the philosophization of Confucianism, thus taking an important place in Confucianist history between the Song and the Ming Dynasty.
