Abstract:
Buddhist interpretation of LAO ZI is an important and individual part of LAO ZI's interpretation. In times of the Han and the Jin Dynasty, Prajna study became popularized with the help of metaphysics, whose interpretation further noumenalized LAO ZI. Between the Jin and the Tang Dynasty, LAO ZI turned highly argumentative in terms of “highly metaphysical” theorization with the interaction between Taoism and Buddhism, whose interpretation tended gradually to be transcendental. From the Song to the Ming Dynasty, under the general situation of three churches incorporated into one, the study of mind, Buddhist interpretation accordingly turned into the theoretical pattern of study of mind.
