Abstract:
One of the outstanding creators of modern Chinese calligraphic civilization, Guo Moruo should be treated as a typical case of concern on the agenda of the project of “the writers, scholars and calligraphic civilization in the 20th century China”. Guo Moruo actualized his cultural creation in form of calligraphy, book review and activity of calligraphic civilization, which made an important part of the phenomenon of “Moruo Civilization”. In spite of the so-called phenomenon of “flooding river” in his attempts of new poems, history drama and academic research, Guo made noticeable advancement in his pursuit and innovation of modern calligraphy, which matched well his writing of classic poems and antithetical couplets.
