There are many works involving animals in the past or present, in China or anywhere else in the world.However, works that can cross the boundaries and barriers of species and carry out “animal narration” well, especially novels, are extremely rare. This paper traces the Narrative Evolution of animal description in novels since the foundtion of modern China，and aims at taking the works of Yan Geling, Zhang Ling, Chen He and other writers as examples to explore the issue of animal narration.These all will accumulate valuable literary experience for the future “Animal Narrative” and related novel creation practice, and have great enlightening value and significance.
