Abstract:
Journalism with Chinese characteristics has been listed as one of the 11 important disciplines which support philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics. From the perspective of educational function, discipline construction must respond to the question of “for whom,what and how to cultivate people”. Based on this, to develop journalism with Chinese characteristics prosperously should follow the logic of social needs, individual development and knowledge production. The logic of social needs of journalism construction should focus on “cultivating people for whom”, which mainly requires dealing with the relationship between discipline attribute and political attribute, academic pursuit and people’s standpoints. The logic of individual development should focus on “cultivate what kinds of people”, which mainly requires to deal with the relationship between theory and practice, the cultivation of core quality and the promotion of allround development. And the logic of knowledge production should focus on “how to cultivate people”, which mainly requires to deal with the relationship between the local and the global, inheritance and innovation. From the perspective of the development of the journalism discipline, that is, the essence of discipline education, these three logic and six relations answer the questions of the purpose, direction and path of education.
