Abstract:
From the standpoint of transcendental philosophy, Kant advocated that aesthetic common sense has universal validity by ensuring the universal communication of appreciation judgment emotion. Based on the empirical fact that aesthetic taste varies from person to person, Bourdieu negates the universal validity of aesthetic common sense by denying its ability to ensure the universal communication of appreciation judgment emotion. The limitation of the judgment basis in understanding the attribute of aesthetic common sense is the root cause of their divergences. Aesthetic common sense is both transcendental and empirical, and its judgment basis determines that its original attribute consists of three attributes: common, special and individual. Their different opinions on the attribute of aesthetic common sense show that only by expanding and upgrading the philosophical basis of aesthetic common sense theory from transcendental philosophy and empirical philosophy to historical materialism as its transcendental form, can the theory of aesthetic common sense be revitalized.
