Abstract:
Ideas are the leader of action. Guided by the five development concepts, we use relevant indicators of innovation, harmonization, green, openness and sharing to build a quality measurement model of urbanization development quality by using panel data of 30 provinces for ten years. The following conclusions are reached: Firstly, the overall quality of New Urbanization in China was steadily rising from 2009 to 2018, and the quality of urbanization development quality in the four areas is unevenly distributed in a stepped way. Secondly, the quality of urbanization development in the four regions of east, middle, northeast and west of China decreases in turn. Thirdly, the development potential in the four regions is obviously different, but there is a trend of dynamic development towards equilibrium. Fourthly, the quality potential type of the urbanization development of China can be classified into seven categories. Specifically, eastern region tends to be stable, and the quality improvement potential of the northeast region is the lowest. Many provinces in the middle and western regions have great potential. In view of the above, it is better to pay more attention to the northeast region and some backward provinces of middle and western regions with lagging development quality and low promotion potential.
