Abstract:
The world today is undergoing major changes unseen for for centuries. China’s “The Belt and Road”Initiative provides a Chinese solution for the the global governance mechanism reform and the countries along the route to jointly respond to various risks and challenges facing mankind. However, some Western powers have reintroduced the “China Threat Theory” to stigmatize the image of China. Taken C5+1 as their interactive mode, theyproposed the “New U.S. Central Asia Strategy” and led central Asians’ misundestandings towards China with help of local media’s propagation and influence on the basis of strong public opnions, public sentiments and virtual information contexts or misleading public opinions. Social public opinion patterns featuring connections between foreign media and local social platforms, muti-sourced internet speech deviation and inrrational sentiment release are displayed, exerting influence on social stability of central Asian countries and worsening the surrounding environment of China. The dispersal of China’s being stigmatized in central Ansia is prominently characterized by interaction of internal and external factors, complaicted public opinion environment and multidimensional causes. Herd mentality and information manipulation are utilized to counter “Belt and Road” initiative on the basis of negative effects of “transmissive control”, posing difficulties and risks in the localization of infrastructure projects; Closely related to the development of “The Belt and Road” Initiative and the security of China’s overseas interests, it is worthy of attention, research, and proposals for solutions.
