Abstract:
“Ernian Lüling:Zhilü” listed all of the counties directly under the central government, providing a valuable source of information on the administrative geography during that period. Most scholars utilized the “Ernian Lüling:Zhilü” material to reconstruct the prefecturecounty system in the early Western Han, but they did not pay enough attention to its value in determining the locations of counties during the QinHan periods. In light of the “Ernian Lüling:Zhilü” material, the present paper restudies the locations of three Han counties. This paper argues that Guide is located in today’s Loufangping Town, Wuqi County, Shaanxi Province, that Zhongyang is in today’s Lamahe, Shenmu County, Shaanxi Province, and that Xidu is located in today’s Haojiayitai, Fugu County, Shaanxi Province. Future research of QinHan counties should pay more attention to this text.
