Abstract:
Since the reform and opening up, the development of university teachers’ team construction policies in China has gone through the recovery and reconstruction stage, centered on system construction (19781991), the connotation construction stage, centered on innovation and development (19921999), the open development stage, centered on balanced optimization (20002006) and the prosperous and emerging stage, focusing on high-quality and specialization (2007present). During the course of 40 years of development, the construction of the teachers’ team has shown the following evolutionary logic: from chaos management to modern governance, from scale development to quality construction, from key support to coordinated development, and from diplomabased selection to the best first. This enlightens us that the construction of teachers’ team in colleges and universities in the future should adhere to the construction of first-class teachers’ quality system, vigorously cultivate highlevel innovative talents and build first-class teachers’ teams; take both virtue and talent as the selection requirements, comprehensively strengthen the construction of teachers’ morality and teaching style to improve the quality of teachers in colleges and universities and addressing the importance of a balanced allocation of teachers between colleges and universities to promote the coordinated development of colleges and universities.
