Abstract:
Mathematical proof is a special narrative of the mathematical community in which its meaning and nature was changing constantly, according to dialectical and pluralistic standards. In mathematical proof, there does not exist “metanarrative” patterns which can be placed above all mathematical knowledge. Mathematical proof is not a perfect text of pure logic chain from rigorous presupposition to strict conclusion. As an explanation of the validity, beingness and truthfulness of mathematical knowledge, mathematical knowledge is a “pseudologic structure” which includes intuition and experience elements. Mathematical knowledge has plentiful epistemological and methodological value and text rhetoric and hermeneutical significance beyond logicality and formalized language. As a special science narrative, mathematical proof has showed unique discipline characteristics different from ordinary narratives mainly reflected in its relative independence of knowledge and relative objectivity of truth and selfsufficiency of method.
