Abstract:
In 1934,Ji Xianlin published a commentary on “Ye Hui” in the first issue of Literary Quarterly, denying Ding Ling’s change of mind and believing that Ding Ling was still a typical female of the petty bourgeoisie. This article caused much dissatisfaction in side literary circles after it was published. When the first issue of Literary Quarterly was reprinted, it was deleted. From this incident，Ji Xianlin learned the lessons of mastering publication power，but in fact, a free publication environment might be more important.
