Abstract:
The “Spatial Turn” of western academic circle has sublimated the spatial thought of urban sociology to the level of a philosophy theory.“Space” has not only become a hot topic in the field of philosophy, but also, as a methodology, has exerted its influence on the contemporary western cultural life and academic construction. The spatial turn has promoted the interdisciplinarity of the space theory and the aesthetic theory with the manifestation of pluralism, heterogeneity and multidisciplinary approach. The spatial turn promotes the transformation of the aesthetic research paradigm and the adjustment of methodological principles, and broadens the theoretical vision and resource reserve of contemporary aesthetics. The intervention of the spatial turn to the aesthetic subject has realized the interaction of the space theory and aesthetic research, which develops the space theory of the explanative aesthetics, and introduces the spatialization of the aesthetic theory at the same time. It also provides the practical “spatial aesthetics” methodology for the aesthetic interpretation of postmodern cultural phenomenon. Such aesthetic form not only uses spatial experience to realize the poetic expression to life, but the other hand, it becomes a reference text to cultivate postmodern cultural practice, which has the theoretical value for the constructive exploration of the postmodern cultural representation.
