In the Yan’an Period, the Chinese Communist Party established Yan’an University, adjusted its organization system three times, formed a threelevel administration system referring to universitycollegedepartment and the university president was in charge, implemented meeting and report system, enhanced new-mode education system construction, reformed impractical majors and courses, advocated active thinking and academic freedom, combined initiative teaching and autonomous learning, encouraged student’s organization to play a role, and developed autonomy and freedom.Yan’an University manifests distinctive education characteristics and accumulates precious experience in the construction of the contemporary university system, which set up a practical paradigm for university system reconstruction after New China’s founding, and provides significant reference for the university system perfection at present.
