With the rapid development of modern science and technology, under the background of the information age, the utilization and dependence of media on technology has become a trend and has reached an unprecedented degree. All factors including the increase of media types, the formation of a “media chain”, the adjustment of media structure and the media competition all play a decisive role. The “information mold” formed by media technology and its devices is concerned with the form of dissemination of ideas, and moreover involves the high social function of the media. This paper examines the above issues from the perspective of media culture and aims at explaining that media technology is not only a technological issue but also a cultural one.
