Abstract:
Aimed at the Buddhism’s doctrine that human nature is empty, Chu His makes a point that it is benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, and wisdom that constitute human nature, which correspond to the FourOrigins of compassion, shame aversion, modesty, and right and wrong. The previous group is kinds of shared feelings while the latter is these same feelings in particular situations. In other words, some of them show themselves though the other and further prove themselves in return.
