Abstract:
Gender politics has always been a focus of American black female science fiction writer Octaiva E. Butler. Under the influence of genderqueer theory, Butler created intersexual subjects in books like Wild Seed, which transgressed the traditional gender framework of male and female. Based upon Judith Butler’s assertions of gender identity, this paper aims to study the construction and presentation, body marks and characteristics of intersexual subjects by deconstructing the conventional correlation among sex, gender and sexuality, trying to interpret the reforming concept of gender politics of Ocvia Butler.
