Abstract:
The problem of cultural identity is very significant in the literary creation of Le Clézio, contemporary French writer. From this perspective, especially by research and analysis on his Desert, Onitsha, Fish of Gold, we can not only reveal the real meaning of themes such as “escape” and “return”, but also, highlight his important thought tendency and cultural mentality. The face of a White, the soul of a Black, can be a true portrayal of Le Clézio inner world. Since several decades, our writer uses his pen to build with an allout effort his own cultural identity.
