Abstract:
The essence of the practical learning’s spiritual character of Zhang zai and his Guan School is that it sticks to the practical learning’s values of statecraft. Its main connotation is the academic purpose of “obeying the ethical code and rites”, the value orientation of “being useful in life’s learning”, the way of understanding of “caring for the cognition and thinking” and the educational goal of “the purpose of learning is to be a saint”. The practical learning’s values has a profound influence in history, and untill now, it still has its important significance.
