Abstract:
This article discusses three questions related to the history of classical Chinese under the framework of the new history of Chinese language: first, the author puts forward the concept of double track history of classical Chinese, which holds that the history of classical Chinese contains two clues: one is homogeneous history of classical Chinese, the other is the heterogeneous classical Chinese history; second, as for the problem of classical Chinese dead or alive in modern Chinese, the basic conclusion is that classical Chinese is still here, never having left. From another perspective, the history of classical Chinese continues ,it has not ended; third, heterogeneous classical Chinese is the bridge to link up ancient and modern Chinese, trying to provide another way of thinking and perspective to clarify the context of modern Chinese, which is also an attempt at setting up the complete heterogeneous classical Chinese through ancient and modern Chinese.
