Abstract:
A folklore language in a broad sense contains both folklore works and folklore vocabulary in a narrow sense. It is of great academic significance to study them from a sociolinguistic perspective. Sociolinguistically, attention must be paid to the following three steps in studies of folklore language: first of all, field investigation will have to be strengthened; next, an oralprogram theoretical method in reference to oral narrative folklore to be introduced; finally, an interdisciplinary view involving linguistics, and folklore, culturology, anthropology and whatever will have to be emphasized.
