论中国教育的现代化——基于文化现代化的视角

摘要:
中国教育的现代化必须基于文化的现代化。中国教育现代化的本质在于教育文化价值的重建。中国教育文化价值重建的本质在于在文化现代化的过程中培养何种意义上的现代人,以及通过教育塑造何种意义的现代生活方式。教育塑造个人生活方式的基本信念反映了文化传统的总体特征。面向现代化的中国教育改革,一方面必须立足于文化的基本价值,这决定了中国人的人格底色和心理结构;一方面又必须直面文化之间的对话,从而使中国教育改革不仅是中国的教育改革,也使其成为世界文化进步与发展的一个有机部分。

On the Modernization of Chinese Education in Terms of Modernization of Culture

Abstract:
Modernization of Chinese education must depend on modernization of culture. The essence of modernization of Chinese education calls for the reconstruction of ideology of educational culture, the essence of which depends in turn on what kind of modern people to be trained and what type of modern life to be molded in the course of cultural modernization. The basic belief of individual life to be formed by education shows the general feature of cultural tradition. In face of modernization, Chinese educational reform should keep a foothold in the primary values of Chinese culture on the one hand, which determines the underpaint and psychological structure of Chinese personality, and on the other, should put a bold face to intercourse between different cultures so that Chinese educational reform may not only improve education in China but also become an organic part of progress and development of the global culture.
