Abstract:
Heidegger never made special studies of Marx, but offered considerable comments on him. Based on his own theoretical themes, Heidegger’s comments involved Marx’s theories and key issues and problematic areas of Marxist philosophy, including metaphysics, humanitarianism, nihilism and relationship between theory and practice and discussed the relationship between Marx and Hegel, which exposed the challenges and issues facing the deepening of Marxist philosophy studies. This study, by analyzing Heidegger’s five selected key propositions of Marx, aims to point out the origin of his misinterpretation of Marx results from his negligence of the existential revolution in Marxist philosophy. Moreover, in face of nihilism brought about by modernity, Marx’s “transformation of practice” proves to be more operable than Heidegger’s “thinking of existence”.
