Abstract:
Xu Xiake recorded those travels in most part of his life in Xu Xiake’s Travels. The highlight he expressed in the book was his self-conscious cultural awareness. From a cultural perspective, his cultural awareness revealed three different realms, namely, landscape aesthetic, cultural explanations and philosophic perception. These different cultural realms in his travels were attained through long changes of current affairs and of his psychological experience, which occurred in different parts of his book in different ways.
