Abstract:
Aristotle has made a clear distinction between the “poem(ποíησιζ)” and the “history (íστορíα)” in the Poetics. On the basis of the comments, Some scholars tend to conclude that the history is of the low status in ancient Greek. However, I’ve found that the term “history (íστορíα)” in the Poetics does not mean the history of the ancient Greek on the common sense, it means the íστορíα in specific terms , namely the history of Herodotus’ version. This article will reason in details in terms of the referring objects, its related content and some other aspects.
