Abstract:
Mo Yan won Nobel Prize in Literature in 2012, which released the cultural anxiety of Chinese literature into the world for a long time, and led us to think the complex relationship between the Nobel Prize in Literature and the modern Chinese literature for over one century. The establishment of the Nobel Prize in Literature is the love and encouragement for the literature. The Nobel Prize in Literature is not the highest accepted literary prize, so its authority should be questioned. It is very pity that there was no voice in the review of the world literature because of the war and turmoil in China for over one century. In 1938, Peal S. Buck, an American writer who lived in China for a long time, obtained Nobel Prize in Literature for her novel The Good Earth, which describes the life of Chinese peasants. In 2000 Gao Xingjian, a ChineseFrench writer, obtained Nobel Prize in Literature for his Chinese novels Soul Mountain, and One Man’s Bible. So the researchers have to accept the truth that two of them opened the window to the world literature. As the first truly realistic depiction of Chinese peasant society, Mo Yan, a Chinese writer, won the Nobel Prize in Literature laureate and was widely recognized in the field of Chinese literature both at home and abroad, which is vital for Chinese literature into the world.
